Jolly Phonics Level 1 : Mastering Phonics Essentials
Syllabus:
- Introduction to letter sounds: Explore the alphabet’s 42 letter sounds through interactive activities and songs.
- Letter formation: Practice writing each letter correctly using the Jolly Phonics handwriting style.
- Blending and segmenting: Develop phonemic awareness by blending sounds to form over 100 words and segmenting words into individual sounds.
- Tricky words: Master approximately 72 high-frequency words that cannot be decoded phonetically, learning effective strategies for reading and spelling them.
- Reading and writing simple words: Apply phonics knowledge to read and write basic CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words, covering a wide range of vocabulary.
- Listening and speaking activities: Engage in various oral language activities to reinforce phonics concepts and improve listening skills, fostering confident communication abilities.
